In 1994, the nation’s first program to help children afflicted with dyslexia was launched by the Scottish Rite of the Northern Jurisdiction and Massachusetts General Hospital’s Language Disorders Unit.
We know that when parents understand dyslexia and feel supported, children flourish. Our goal is to make the learning journey a partnership built on trust, compassion, and shared progress.
Since 2008, the Children’s Dyslexia Center of Springfield has helped over 200 children in the Springfield area discover the gift of reading, opening them up to a world of opportunities that once seemed unattainable. We have also trained over 60 local educators in best-practice approaches to teaching reading skills. The need for these services is substantial, and we are committed to helping children with dyslexia in our community reach their full potential.
